About the Role and You
Main Roads are looking for an energetic and motivated individual with strong technical capability and well developed communication skills for this key role in the Pilbara Region.
As the region’s Maintenance Manager, you will plan and manage the delivery of the routine and periodic maintenance programs for the Region within approved funding allocations including the management of maintenance resources in the Pilbara including sub-contractors to deliver maintenance works and programs. As part of this role, you will be constantly liaising with the community and working with key stakeholders to ensure the safety of all road users. You will be required to monitor and report of the delivery performance of the maintenance works program for the region to both internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for people with:
- Experience in project and construction management, including road maintenance planning and delivery.
- Experince in road maintenance practice including resurfacing and rehabilitation treatments and practices.
- Exposure to managing resources
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively
- The ability to influence, negotiate, persuade and solve problems
- Enthusiasm, commitment and a focus on achieving results

Salary and Regional Incentives/Benefits
If you need to relocate to the Region, Main Roads will provide relocation assistance and accommodation at a subsidised rate.
In addition to your base salary and 9.5% superannuation, the following regional benefits are available to you:
- Your choice of a 37.5 or 40 hour working week
- In addition to 37.5 or 40 hour week, you have the option of working an additional 5 hours per week to receive a Commuted Overtime Allowance of 18% of your annual salary paid fortnightly
- After 12 months of service, you are entitled to an additional 5 days of annual leave (north west annual leave), plus 5 annual leave travel days, or have this paid out in lieu as an additional 3.8% on top of your fortnightly pay
- After 12 months of service, you are entitled to an annual leave travel concession (reimbursement of the cost of return economy airfares to Perth once per annum).
- Power subsidies to assist with air conditioning, electric hot water or gas hot water bills
- A communications subsidy per month, to assist with your telecommunications bills and keep in touch with friends and family in other locations is also available.
