About the Interagency Graduate Program
Our eighteen (18) month graduate program aims to build the skills, experience and networks required for a successful career in the public sector. A customised rotational plan exposes our graduates to a range of opportunities across the public sector. Initial employment is on a fixed basis with the provision for permanent appointment following successful completion of the first twelve (12) months.

About the Graduate Officer - Information Analyst
The Resource and Environmental Compliance Division is looking for a recent graduate with a bachelor degree focusing on Data Analytics, Information Systems or similar (degree to be completed in the current or preceding calendar year) who is interested in developing their analytics translator skills in a constantly evolving business environment.
The Division is responsible for the management of compliance and enforcement activities across the resource sector (excluding safety), including the provision of environmental approvals and compliance.
Reporting to the Manager Projects, Compliance and Policy, you will be a strong communicator with a natural curiosity for discovering how the various components of an entity operate together and within a broader environmental context. A typical day may involve:
- meeting with key business personnel to draw out needs and objectives;
- reviewing and updating existing policies, legislation and regulations;
- liaising with technical teams to manage resolution of quick wins;
- analysing systems, data and processes to discover underlying causes of issues;
- translating analysis and conclusions into a compelling argument for business improvement; and
- managing small business improvement projects.
This position is located in East Perth however, you may be required to work at other sites.
