About the Interagency Graduate Program
Our eighteen (18) month graduate program aims to build the skills, experience and networks required for a successful career in the public sector. A customised rotational plan exposes our graduates to a range of opportunities across the public sector. Initial employment is on a fixed basis with the provision for permanent appointment following successful completion of the first twelve (12) months.

About the Graduate Officer - Building Codes and Standards
The Building and Energy Division is looking for a recent graduate with a bachelor degree in building surveying, architecture, structural engineering, construction management or similar with a focus on technical building standards (degree to be completed in the current or preceding calendar year).
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic person with a passion for the built environment and looking for an opportunity to start their career in the Western Australian Government.
This is a challenging and interesting role in which to apply your academic knowledge to assist with providing technical advice to the construction industry and government agencies; and reviewing and developing proposed building codes and standards.
The graduate will work in a team along with Principal Building Surveyors, Senior Technical Officers and other officers who have relevant academic qualifications and many years of experience in the area of building design, construction and building control.
This position is located in Cannington however, you may be required to work at other sites.
