Manager Communications and Education
About the Position
The Manager Communications and Education is responsible for leading the communications and education team in the development, implementation and evaluation of a range of initiatives that increase knowledge, understanding and awareness of the Western Australian workers’ compensation and injury management scheme.
The position is responsible for the delivery of a variety of tasks, including:
- coordinating online and digital initiatives conducted by the communications and education branch;
- managing all aspects of media communications;
- liaising with the WorkCover WA Corporate Executive to design, plan and deliver strategies that enhance stakeholder and the public understanding of WorkCover WA’s role and services;
- managing the preparation and dissemination of a wide variety of corporate communications; and
- transitioning traditional communication and education initiatives to contemporary online and digital approaches.
To be successful in this position prospective applicants should possess:
- leadership experience; and
- knowledge of and experience in the development and delivery of contemporary communications and education initiatives.

The position is available for an initial period of 12 months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be appointed to other similar vacancies that occur throughout the Agency over the coming 12 months.
