This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Business Analyst to join the Office of Digital Government within the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. Suitable applicants from this process will be placed in a pool from which permanent and temporary appointments may be made. The pool will operate for a period of 12 months from the date that the recruitment breach period has been finalised. 

There are currently two (2) positions available for permanent immediate filling.

About the role

We are looking for talented and motivated people to join our diverse, highly skilled team. A position has become available for filling immediately to join the Office responsible for driving the Government’s digital reform agenda. This agenda is focused on:

  • Implementing higher cyber security standards;
  • Improving delivery of online services to the community;
  • Developing policy and strategy to support culture of data sharing;
  • Building data analytics capabilities;
  • Supporting information technology procurement reform; and
  • Investigating strategies to reduce the digital divide.

You will work closely with the office’s Enterprise Architecture team in the definition of whole of government policies, strategies and frameworks that promote digital transformation across the public sector. You will provide advice to implementation teams on possible approaches they should consider when implementing programs and projects that that are aligned with the Governments Digital WA Strategy.

About you

You will bring considerable experience in Business Analysis to this role. Your demonstrated success in past roles will be highly valued, with a particular focus on:

  • how you worked with Enterprise Architecture teams to provide high quality, creative and insightful advice on initiatives that are aligned with the States digital transformation priorities.
  • working with interdisciplinary teams across multiple organisations to develop, prioritise and execute choices that deliver strategic outcomes.
  • undertaking critical analysis of service delivery problems, through the use of appropriate frameworks tools and approaches.
  • Understanding the importance of building strong collaborative networks to influence outcomes by getting stakeholders to collaborate.
  • Exploring and understanding new technologies, business models, and their potential impact on the states Digital reform.
