About the Role
The Central and Northern Regions Directorate is responsible for delivering road asset management, network operations and construction and maintenance practices throughout Western Australia. The Term Contracts branch in the directorate is currently seeking an experienced Contract Manager Road Marking to join their team.
In this role, you will be responsible to develop and manage contracts for road marking to maintain and improve the Western Australian road network, and ensure completion of programs to the approved scope, budget, time and quantity. The successful candidate would take a lead role in monitoring and specifying standards for this work, in an environment of modernising the materials to be used and processes undertaken to apply these materials. You will work within a team dedicated to ensuring that all road maintenance and construction is well supported by modern contract and working relationships with contractors.
This position will be based in Don Aitken Centre in East Perth but you may have to travel to regional areas on occasions. The successful person must be familiar with road marking practices and be able to administer contracts – ideally, the person would have a Diploma or higher qualification in Contract Management or Civil Engineering.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be required to demonstrate your substantial skill, knowledge and experience in contract development and management.
You will need to demonstrate well developed negotiation skills and working objectively in conflict situations to be successful in this role. Your well-developed negotiation skills, strong research, analysis and problem solving skills and your ability to work effectively and develop strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders will be critical to your success.
In addition, you will need knowledge of asset management of road markings.
