Road Asset Modelling Specialist

About the Role
We have an opportunity for an experienced professional to join our Network Management team in East Perth. The team leads asset management throughout Western Australia, covering over 18,000 kilometres of State highways and main roads, and over 1,100 bridges. This role contributes to state-wide asset management by planning, developing and maintaining complex road asset modelling systems and analytical tools.
The Road Asset Modelling Specialist’s responsibilities include researching, developing and implementing road pavement and surfacing modelling systems and related information systems; using the Pavement and Surfacing Management Systems to produce long-term strategic pavement and surfacing preservation needs, and providing specialist advice and information for the development of operational road programs.
About You
We are seeking a modelling specialist that has substantial skill, knowledge and experience in road asset modelling systems and road asset management. You will also have excellent data analysis skills and the ability to formulate quality processes and procedures.
As our customers and stakeholders are important to us, we are looking for an individual that can not only build strong and effective relationships with a range of people, but also possesses good leadership and people management skills.

Submitting Your Application

2. A copy of your current Western Australian motor vehicle (car) Driver’s Licence
3. If applicable to you, a copy of your Degree in Civil Engineering.
4. A statement outlining your substantial skill, knowledge and experience in the following four (4) criteria in no more than one (1) page per criteria:
- Road asset modelling systems (e.g. Infrastructure Asset Management Program (dTIMS) or similar)
- Data analysis to discover operational insights, trend analysis and relationships between variables
- Building and enhancing stakeholder relationships
- Knowledge of pavement engineering and/or road maintenance practices
All selection criteria listed in the Job Role Statement will be tested throughout the selection process.
