SYSTEMS AND NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
Position No: 02177742
Salary: Level 5, $87,047 - $95,994 per annum
Tenure: 12 Month Appointment with a possible extension - Full Time
About the Position
The Systems and Network Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of WorkCover WA’s system and networks, and administration of user access and security on Microsoft platforms.
Key duties of the role include:
- Monitoring and maintaining the agency’s system network and infrastructure
- Managing the agency’s network security
- Managing the deployment of appropriate security patches, hot fixes and software updates
The occupant of this position will also be expected to provide first level user support and undertake Service Desk responsibilities.
To be successful in this position prospective applicants should possess:
- Experience in the planning, installation, configuration and maintenance of on-premise and cloud-based IT infrastructure, including liaison with third party support providers.
- Experience in network and email administration using Microsoft Exchange, Windows Server 2012 and above and virtual server administration using VMWare ESXi.
- Experience in Desktop SOE configurations and management.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to produce technical documentation.
The occupant of the position must be available to work outside of standard business hours in order to meet operational requirements. In these circumstances an on-call allowance will be paid.
