Project Contract Manager

About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Project/Contract Managers for our Wheatbelt, Pilbara, Kimberley and Goldfields-Esperance Regions to fill a number of critical positions.
As part of the regional project teams, you will play an integral role in the delivery and/or development of medium sized, reasonably complex projects, undertaking a range of tasks related to the project and/or contract management of the project.
Your previous experience and well developed skills will see you manage activities including but not limited to:
- project scoping, development, design and delivery;
- contract document preparation and management of the tendering process
- project quality assurance
- project reporting
- contract administration as Superintendent’s representative including management of payments, claims and variations and
- management of project resources and supervision of teams as required
A ‘pool’ of suitable applicants will be established through this recruitment process and will operate for up to 12 months. Applicants may be appointed from the pool to future vacancies as required for any similar positions throughout Main Roads.
Salary and Regional Incentives/Benefits
In addition to the salary and 9.5% superannuation, the following regional initiatives/benefits are available to new employees, however will be dependent on the base location of the position:
- Commuted Overtime Allowance of between 9% and 18% based on additional 2.5 to 5 hours worked per week (dependent on location)
- District Allowance (Pilbara, Kimberley and Goldfields-Esperance Regions only)
- Travel concession (Pilbara, Kimberley and Goldfields-Esperance Regions only)
- Additional subsidies – gas/electric hot water, telephone subsidy.

About You
We are seeking candidates with experience in all facets of project and contract management as well as experience in road and/or bridge design, construction and/or maintenance. Your ability to manage resources is important and you must be able to demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with stakeholders. Sound negotiation and facilitation skills will also see you succeed in this role.
