Position Profile: This is a recruitment pool for the position of Consultant – Emergency Medicine working within the award winning WACHS Emergency Telehealth Service and developing WACHS Command Centre. This position is responsible for provision of direct Emergency Medicine assessment and management of patients in Country WA via telemedicine in partnership and consultation with regional nursing and medical practitioners and in liaison with metropolitan specialists and retrieval services. The successful applicants will:
- Promote quality health outcomes for rural and remote patients as well as support rural nurses and doctors in the delivery of quality care.
- Need to demonstrate, extensive experience in Emergency medicine, leadership, communication, role modelling and team work, while practicing multidisciplinary patient care and contributing to teaching, supervision and clinical quality improvement projects of the service.
- Need to demonstrate ongoing maintenance of a position which has direct patient care setting in an accredited emergency department.
