About the Role
The Asset Manager is responsible for developing, recommending and monitoring road plans and programs for the efficient and effective management, use, preservation, improvement and expansion of the road network.
To assist in meeting these objectives, you will:
- Develop short and long term asset management strategies, programs and plans;
- Identify and develop treatment solutions and priorities to optimise the performance of the network, consistent with agreed levels of service, intervention parameters, environment and product standards;
- Develop project concepts and prepare business cases for budget and funding submissions;
- Review, interrogate and evaluate road asset data to use in asset management modelling to support road asset planning and decision making;
- Manage and coordinate the collection of road asset data stored in corporate/regional databases and inventories; and
- Manage the behaviour, performance and development of a small team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be required to demonstrate:
- Strong leadership, people and asset management skills,
- Strong communication skills and an ability to build effective and collaborative internal and external stakeholder relationships,
- Relevant experience in road and/or bridge planning, design, construction or maintenance, and
- Effective research, analysis and problem solving skills particularly in relation to the preservation and enhancement of road assets

2. A statement outlining your substantial skill, knowledge and experience in the following three (3) criteria in no more than three (3) pages:
