ABOUT THE ROLE
The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) is a dynamic agency and is committed to supporting Western Australia’s community, economy and environment by managing and regulating the state’s environment and water resources.
The Department is seeking a suitably experienced Senior Manager Programs to join our Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery team. The primary function of the role is to manage the Waste Authority’s programs area and works collaboratively both internally and across key stakeholder agencies and industry to facilitate and drive waste avoidance and resource recovery initiatives and best practice programs in alignment with the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy 2030. This includes providing accurate and timely advice, and efficient and effective services to the Waste Authority.
The ideal candidate will possess considerable experience in programs design, budgeting, monitoring, management and evaluation. Critical to success will be conceptual and analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to align personal goals and passion with the values of the Department and motivate the team to do the same.
