The Office of the Auditor General for Western Australia is an independent agency reporting directly to Parliament on public sector performance. We help Parliament hold government to account, are a key source of independent and objective information to the community and help promote change and improve public services.
The Communications team in Business Services coordinates the tabling and publication of the Auditor General’s reports, covering some of the largest and most complex programs and activities of state and local government entities. In the past 12 months you could have contributed to interesting and important publications such as:
As the Publications and Graphic Designer you will coordinate publication and communications material design, layout and delivery. Your flair for design will promote visually appealing, engaging and interactive report information and data; while providing quality control of online and print material for adherence to style guides and plain English principles.
There is 1 full-time permanent position available immediately.
Our ideal candidate will be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Microsoft Word layout and have experience in:
- coordination and production of substantial, complex reports and quality publications, including online publishing and print production processes
- demonstrated time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining a strong eye for detail
- excellent interpersonal and verbal skills, including strong negotiation skills.
An understanding of Parliamentary tabling requirements would be viewed favourably.
