Expressions of Interest
Senior Project Delivery Managers
The Public Transport Authority of Western Australia (PTA) is seeking Expressions of Interest for successful and experienced Senior Project Delivery Managers to work on a range of major transport infrastructure projects.
Background
The Major Projects Unit (MPU) is responsible for the delivery of a large number of high value, complex rail based public transport projects within the METRONET program. The program of projects will be delivered over the next 5 years and form part of the State Government’s $4.1 billion investment in public transport infrastructure as part of the overall METRONET program.
A number of projects are underway and these include:
- Forrestfield-Airport Link
- Thornlie-Cockburn Link
- Yanchep Rail Extension
- Bayswater Station and turnback
- Denny Avenue Level crossing removal
Forthcoming projects which require a project team led by suitably qualified and experienced Senior Project Delivery Managers include:
- Morley-Ellenbrook Line
- Byford Rail Extension
- Midland Station and line extension to Bellevue
- Karnup Station
- Level crossing removal program
Expressions of Interest
This Expression of Interest (EOI) is to explore the Australian and overseas market for the required high levels of expertise, leadership and experience that would qualify contenders for a role with the PTA on the future projects.
This EOI seeks this information and experience to apprise the PTA of the market capability for critical rail based infrastructure delivery and to provide an opportunity for the PTA to consider a procurement or recruitment strategy to fill a number of key positions.
Remuneration will be based on the ability to source suitable contenders for these projects, the experience and expertise they bring with them and the PTA’s approved strategies to fill these positions.
Suitability Criteria
Ideally contenders would have a proven track record and extensive experience in managing the delivery of complex, high value electrified rail projects within an urban passenger railway environment; however those with exceptional experience in other major transport infrastructure projects would not be precluded from consideration.
The ability to provide critical thinking and a clearly articulated strategic direction is essential.
You will also have experience and a demonstrated ability to proactively and successfully lead people and manage resources towards commercially focussed outcomes; and the aptitude to recognise opportunities to enhance service delivery and capitalise on these through the development and implementation of effective change strategies.
These positions require a decisive skilled leader with the ability to develop and sustain relationships with key stakeholders; your ability to communicate and influence expected outcomes is essential.
Confidentiality
The submission of an EOI will remain strictly confidential between the applicant and the PTA. This EOI confers no promise or obligation to or from either the applicant or the PTA.
To register an EOI, please provide a covering letter plus a comprehensive CV or resume of your qualifications, work history and areas of professional competence. The covering letter should clearly explain how you believe that you meet the basic criteria for any further consideration. Your submission should indicate your nationality and status to work in Western Australia as well as a broad outline of your company or business structure.
If there are any enquires in respect to this EOI, you can contact Mr Ross Hamilton, Executive Director Major Projects on 9326 2675.
Applicants will be kept informed on a regular basis on the EOI process.
Applicants are requested to apply online using the ‘Apply for Job’ button at the top/bottom of the screen.
Please note the closing date and time, as no emailed, late or pro forma applications will be accepted.
