We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join the Heritage Services Division within the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage. If you have a bachelor degree in Architecture, eligibility for registration with the WA Architects Registration Board and expertise in project and contract management, we encourage you to apply.
The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery and management of conservation works at Fremantle Prison. You will ensure heritage-sensitive protection of the World Heritage listed site, manage and update conservation plans and undertake project and contract management for conservation and building works.
This is a fixed-term, full time position for six (6) months with the possibility of extension. Suitable applicants may be considered for appointment to similar (permanent, fixed term, full-time or part-time) vacancies for a period of twelve (12) months from the initial date of the appointment.

To be successful in this role, you need to demonstrate;
- The ability to manage building works contracts including procurement planning, tender documentation and evaluation, and contract formation.
- The ability to provide specialist advice on heritage conservation and contract management issues.
- The ability to prepare or commission architectural drawings and specifications, heritage conservation documentation and other technical documentation.
