Applicants must :
- Be eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Be a new graduate who has not previously participated in a Graduate Midwife Program.
- Not have worked more than 1976 hours as a Midwife prior to date of application.
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia, or, citizen of New Zealand.
- Have completed midwifery studies after February 28 2017.
Preference for interview and appointment will be given to local Western Australian Graduates with Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or, Australian permanent residency.

Job Description:
Registration as a Midwife (MW) requires you to meet the Nursing Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA) mandatory registration standards. Midwives are required to practise within the relevant NMBA approved standards, codes, guidelines and frameworks.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrates knowledge of and practices in accordance with the NMBA’s Professional Standards for the midwife.
- Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to the provision of women centred maternity care.
- Demonstrates effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to function as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of quality improvement and risk management within practice.
