ABOUT THE ROLE
The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation is seeking a talented individual for a permanent full-time opportunity as Senior Policy Officer in the Waste Policy Branch.
As Senior Policy Officer you will co-ordinate a small team that administers the State’s waste levy. The team is responsible for developing and applying waste levy guidance and policy and coordinating the processing of waste levy returns, exemption applications and financial assurances.
As the Senior Policy Officer you will provide advice to internal and external stakeholders, develop written guidance material and prepare ministerial correspondence.
The role requires experience in understanding and applying complex legislation and policy, good communication skills and the ability to work within and across work teams.
