Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced individual with a passion for rural and remote healthcare to the newly created position of Director Medical Services at Kalgoorlie Hospital. This dynamic position will oversee day to day operational management of medical services and provide medical leadership including coordination of Medical Clinical Governance and continuous improvement activities for the site. This position will establish and maintain collaborative relationships with clinical services providers’ ensuring high quality and safe clinical care is provided to the local community.
In addition, the Director Medical Services will work in partnership and support the Regional Medical Director in implementing the WACHS Goldfields Strategic Directives, ensuring the regional health network performance.
Kalgoorlie is a mining town with a huge number of community services that would suit many families (young to retiring) and individuals. Sport facilities, clubs and societies and social services abound to support a good work life balance with the town having many major chain stores and services. Community is a key strength of the town. Being located inland the weather is peri-desert and there is weekend access to beach community of Esperance.
