Through a partnership developed with the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI), DPIRD has a significant role to play in delivering and maximising local content outcomes in regional Western Australia. This will be delivered through a network of Principal and Local Content Advisers in regional locations across the state. The Principal Local Content Advisers will support local businesses by connecting them to government supply opportunities, referrals to business support agencies, high level assistance in preparing industry participation plans and assistance for project managers in connecting them with local suppliers and workers.
