This position is part of the Aboriginal Employment Program (AEP) which is a diversity initiative to achieve equality and increase workforce representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people at the department. Therefore, pursuant to Section 51 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA) only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants will be considered for this role. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, forward thinking and dynamic individual to the position of Senior Information Officer. The position acts as a subject matter expert and liaises with internal stakeholders with business systems integrated with the departmental Electronic Document Records Management System (EDRMS).
The role supports internal customers with information management queries related to access, creation, storage, security and disposal of records to ensure compliance with the department’s Record Keeping Plan. The successful applicant will be able to work with minimal supervision, be a team player, innovative and enjoy working with internal customers to improve business processes and resolve information queries.
What is the Aboriginal Employment Program about?
The AEP is a 12 month program which provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people employment and career development opportunities. The program commences in early January 2019.
