This position is part of the Aboriginal Employment Program (AEP) which is a diversity initiative to achieve equality and increase workforce representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people at the department. Therefore, pursuant to Section 51 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA) only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants will be considered for this role. We are seeking a Title Services Officer to assist the Mining Information Counter Customer Service branch in the Service Delivery Group. The Mining Information Counter is responsible for receiving and processing mining tenement applications and providing quality front line customer service to stakeholders when resolving general enquiries.
This position is required to work core business hours and may be required to work outside of these on occasion. The ideal candidate will be customer focused, have attention to detail and be able to learn the technical aspects of the application process in order to give accurate and consistent information to customers.
What is the Aboriginal Employment Program about?
The AEP is a 12 month program which provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people employment and career development opportunities. The program commences in early January 2019.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander candidates with the following skills and attributes:
- Demonstrated experience in providing customer service and working collaborative in a team.
- An ability to use computer systems to undertake a range of adminstrative duties with an attention to detail.
- Works collaboratively with team members and external stakeholders and treats people with respect and courtesy.
Please note that completion of a National Police Clearance and Confirmation of Aboriginality will form a part of the selection process.
