Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. Position Profile: The Midwest Region is seeking a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist committed to the highest professional standards who will demonstrate excellence when providing obstetrics and gynaecology expertise to Geraldton Hospital. The hospital provides a good general case load and duties reflective of a teaching hospital, but in a regional setting. You will assist with participation in the on call roster along with other specialists and general practitioners.
You will participate in continued medical education and quality management as well as provide educational support to colleagues and other staff, including FRANZCOG trainee and GP Obstetricians.
The clinical administration duties of this role include: maintaining quality patient medical records as per health service requirements; as well as attending to medico legal issues that arise concerning patients that have been under your care. When you join the team at Geraldton Hospital, you’ll become part of a close-knit community of health professionals.

Hospital Services: Geraldton Regional Hospital has 66 hospital beds for acute medical, surgical, paediatric and maternity patients. The hospital provides a 24 hour Emergency Department. It also provides a range of services including, ante natal classes, chemotherapy, renal dialysis, a hospital at home visiting service, medical imaging, pathology and same day surgery.
Services include an inpatient rehabilitation unit and a day rehabilitation centre. Visiting specialists provide a range of surgical services.
