About the Role
Main Roads are seeking an experienced Project/Contract Manager Structures to join our Wheatbelt Regional team based in our award winning and modern office in Northam.
The successful candidate will play a central role in the Wheatbelt region’s project development and delivery team and will be responsible for managing project/contract management services and the provision of specialist technical advice for structures projects across the Region.
As part of our project team this role will manage, develop and deliver a range of structures and other infrastructure construction and maintenance projects and contracts, including timber bridges across the region ensuring projects are delivered to approved scope, budget, time and quality.
The role will be responsible for project scoping, concept design, preparation of project plans, managing survey, investigation, detailed design, stakeholder interfaces, preparation of tender documentation and managing tendering processes. Undertaking delegated contract management duties as appointed (e.g. Superintendent's Representative), financial and other reporting duties are also key requirements of the role.
About You
We are seeking a candidate with a proven background in structures design, construction, maintenance or refurbishment project and contract management. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in managing multiple projects and contracts including human and financial resources and in achieving project deadlines.
The ability to communicate at all levels and foster strong stakeholder relationships including negotiation and resolution of problems and issues are key to your success in this role.
