Appointment Pool
Rossmoyne Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of Humanities and Social Science Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2019 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencement within the 2019 school year.
Suitable applicants will have high expectations, demonstrate a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. They will be flexible and adaptive teachers, able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching. An ability to teach Humanities and Social Sciences across all year levels from Years 7 – 12 is desirable, as is the ability to teach in another curriculum area. Applicants with high level capacity and experience working with Gifted and Talented students will be highly regarded, as will the capacity to teach Modern History, Economics, Geography, Politics & Law, Psychology or Accounting to Year 12.
Applicants will possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. You will build positive relationships with your students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students. You will be performance driven and use evidence based decision-making skills.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
