Applicants must be:
- Eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Midwife.
- A newly qualified midwife who has not previously participated in a Graduate Midwife Program and has not been employed for more than 12 months as a Midwife.
Preference for appointment will be given to local Western Australian graduates with Australian or New Zealand permanent residency.

Job Description:
Registration as a midwife requires you to meet the Nursing Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA) National competency standards for the midwife.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrates knowledge of and practices in accordance with the NMBA’s Professional Standards for the midwife.
- Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to the provision of women centred maternity care.
- Demonstrates effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to function as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of quality improvement and risk management within practice.
