Works Supervisor

About the Role
The Works Supervisor is responsible for supervising the delivery of road and bridge works by Direct Management and Minor Capital Works in the Pilbara Region. In this role you will ensure that works are undertaken in accordance with the technical specifications, and supervise the preparation of road building materials in a safe and efficient manner. You will also undertake inspections of the network and structures in order to provide advice to assist in the preparation of key plans and programs for the Region, including the Ten Year Network Delivery Plan and Annual Works Program.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have experience in road and/or bridge maintenance practices, particularly with respect to defect identification and proposed repairs for routine, periodic and specific maintenance tasks. You will have knowledge of naturally occurring materials and bituminous products as used in rural road construction and maintenance, as well as experience in construction supervision and works inspection. Your ability to develop strong working relationships, experience supervising teams, and knowledge of occupational health and safety practices will be well utilised in this role.

Please also submit a statement outlining your sound skill, knowledge and experience in the following four (4) criteria in no more than four (4) pages
- Road and/or bridge construction and maintenance, including materials selection for construction and maintenance purposes
- Pavement construction, bituminous surfacing and asphalting processes and techniques
- Supervision, including the supervision of employee behaviour, performance and development
- Traffic management including the implementation of traffic management plans
