Road Designer
About the Role
The Road and Traffic Engineering branch provide the centre of expertise for Main Roads in road design, traffic engineering and traffic management to ensure a safe, reliable and sustainable road-based transport system. The branch is currently seeking two experienced and talented Road Designers to join their team.
Reporting to the Senior Road Designer, you will be responsible for undertaking geometric design for a broad range of road projects and contributing to the development of technical standards and guidelines. You will provide technical advice to a range of stakeholders and contribute to road project public consultation processes.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have considerable experience in road design standards and their application and be able to demonstrate your experience in geometric design for road projects using technical software, including either MX or 12D and either AutoCAD or Microstation. Your experience in providing technical advice to various stakeholders and ability to build collaborative working relationships will see you succeed in this role.
