Donnybrook District High School (DHS) is seeking a Primary Physical Education Specialist.
As part of this role you will engage and build productive working relationships with students, parents and staff, to support the teaching of Physical Education.
We are looking for an exemplary practitioner with the desire and skills to produce outstanding learning experiences for their students. They will be well versed in and demonstrate contemporary teaching pedagogies, with a sound understanding of the West Australian HPE Curriculum. The successful applicant will be highly motivated; student and relationship focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences for students from Pre-Primary to Year 6. You will utilise innovative strategies and be able to work and communicate effectively within a dynamic team to enhance the reputation of the school within the local and wider communities.
Donnybrook DHS currently caters for approximately 465 students across two campuses. The successful applicant will be largely based at the Junior Campus, however the role will also include working collaboratively with the Secondary Physical Education Specialist at the Senior Campus to support the school’s focus on bringing the two campuses together.
Like all District High Schools, Donnybrook DHS will be interested to see what additional skills and qualifications applicants may bring to support and value add to our comprehensive programs on offer.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for fixed term or permanent appointments to other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
