Aubin Grove Primary School is seeking to a highly skilled primary Physical Education Teacher for the 2018 school year.
This is an opportunity to join a team of Physical Education Specialists who is committed to developing students’ skills for physical activity and a love for physical activity and sport.

The successful applicant will:
- Deliver an instructional program that is based on the Health and Physical Education Learning Area of the Australian Curriculum.
- Take responsibility for planning, organizing and conducting intra and inter-school carnivals for Kindergarten, Junior Primary and Upper Primary years of schooling.
- Be capable of delivering the Fundamental Movement Skills program to early childhood students and building the capacity of their teachers to do so.
- Plan, organize and coordinate before and after school physical education programs in line with the school’s Health & PE Operational Plan
The school is committed to improving teacher practice through a coaching model that involves ongoing observation and feedback. Teachers, including those in Specialist Learning Teams, implement visible learning practices that involve the provision of learning intentions and success criteria for every lesson, feedback to students and classrooms that support students as assessment literate learners.
The successful applicant will be expected to always place the needs of students first and implement instructional skills and strategies that maximize students' engagement in their learning and ability to successfully access the curriculum.
Ideally, the successful applicant should be flexible and have the ability to take on other roles as needed within the school, to plan and implement interschool training, and to work collaboratively with and support other specialist teachers as part of a team.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for fixed term appointments to other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
