Appointment Pool
Rossmoyne Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of Biological Science Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2018 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2018 school year.
Suitable applicants will have high expectations, demonstrate a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. They will be flexible and adaptive teachers, able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching. An ability to teach across all year levels from Years 7 – 12 is desirable, as is the ability to teach in another curriculum area. Candidates who have a high level capacity of experience working with gifted and talented students, students at educational risk and English as an Additional Language/Dialect students will be highly regarded.
Suitable applicants will possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. You will build positive relationships with your students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
