The second is to ensure the wholesale electricity market is operating effectively. Current inquiries include reviews of water pricing and the Emergency Services Levy.

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated individual with relevant experience to join us on a permanent basis as a Project Officer in the Utility Services Regulation area of the Regulation and Inquiries (R and I) division.
The main functions of the Utility Services Regulation covers:
- Administering the licensing schemes for electricity, gas and water services, including granting, amending and transferring licences.
- Undertaking customer protection activities, such as approving standard form contracts, financial hardship policies, as well as developing and reviewing codes of conduct.
- Monitoring licensees’ compliance with their licence conditions through arranging for periodic independent audits and asset management system reviews and, where necessary, use statutory powers to enforce compliance.
- Publish annual reports on the performance of some of the gas, electricity and water service providers that we licence.
