About the Role
THIS IS A FULL TIME, FIXED TERM MATERNITY LEAVE CONTRACT FOR UP TO 16 MONTHS
The Planning and Technical Services (PTS) Directorate provides design, engineering, environmental, road safety and surveying expertise. We lead the development of integrated technical solutions and services that support a world class, safe, reliable and sustainable road based transport system.
This central role is responsible for managing the business management function for the Directorate, encompassing a broad range of activities essential to the efficient and effective operations of the business. This includes business planning and reporting, budgeting and financial management, human resource and SHW management, business improvement projects and the management of executive support and ministerial correspondence for the Directorate.
The role is also an important member of the Directorate leadership team and contributes to the formulation of Directorate policy, standards and strategies.
About You
As the successful applicant, you will demonstrate substantial experience in the management of business functions including business planning, financial management and reporting. Substantial knowledge and experience in the Financial Management Act and relevant financial management policies, procedures and systems is essential. You will also have experience in the development and implementation of business improvement initiatives, demonstrating your skills in research, analysis and problem-solving.
As a branch manager, you will demonstrate strong leadership and stakeholder management skills and will have proven experience in managing teams to deliver business support services. Excellent communication, organisation and facilitation skills will be essential to your success in the role.
