Network Operations Officer
The Central and Northern Regions Directorate of Main Roads Western Australia delivers road asset management, network operations, minor construction and maintenance practices throughout Western Australia from five regional offices.
About the Role
Main Roads are seeking to appoint a Network Operations Officer to join the Mid-West Gascoyne team in Carnarvon. The Network Operations Officer will investigate, evaluate and make recommendations on appropriate solutions on the following traffic and road safety issues;
- Heavy vehicles
- Signs
- Roadside advertising
- Road lining and marking
- Intersection treatments
- Vulnerable road users
- Roadside facilities
The role will also assist with regional asset management through the collection and verification of asset management data relating to traffic management.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess experience in traffic management and road safety and have good data management, investigation, analysis and problem solving skills.
The role will see you working closely with internal and external stakeholders; therefore to be successful in this role, you will also need the ability to develop positive professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and possess good written communication skills.

As this is a Category One (high risk) role, the successful applicant will be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment prior to appointment.
