Position Profile: The Sexual Health and Blood-borne Virus Program (SHBBVP) at the WA Department of Health is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and enthusiastic PSO Level 4 Project Officers and Program Officers for appointment to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise over the next 6 months.
We are seeking applications from enthusiastic and dynamic individuals for the position of Project Officer/ Program Officer in the Sexual Health and Blood-borne Virus Program branch. SHBBVP is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring the public health response to sexually transmissible infections and blood-borne viruses among priority populations in Western Australia.
The Project Officer/Program Officer will assist with the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of youth sexual health and blood-borne virus related projects in WA, including website and contract management. In this position you will liaise with health professionals, government and non- government agencies in relation to youth sexual health and blood-borne virus projects. You will also, under supervision, prepare timely responses to state and national correspondence, requests and reviews.
Suitable applicants will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaborate. You need to be organised and use your initiative to assist the assist with the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of Sexual Health and Blood-borne Virus Program (SHBBVP) related projects in WA, including contract management. You will provide administrative support to relevant committees, subcommittees and working parties. You will be required to liaise with health professionals, government and non-government agencies in relation to SHBBVP projects.
