The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) is seeking to establish a pool of Administrative Assistants to permanent, fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies that may arise over the next twelve (12) months.
The School Curriculum and Standards Authority provides quality curriculum, assessment and standards to enable all Western Australian students to become confident, creative learners and active, informed citizens who contribute positively to society.
The Administrative Assistant position provides effective and efficient administrative and clerical support to teams across the organisation. The Administrative Assistant provides a high level of customer service by ensuring telephone inquiries and visitors are received and assisted in a professional manner. The role requires a high level of competency in the use of other Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
The successful applicant will maintain records in accordance with the State Government record keeping requirements and follow government approved procurement procedures, as well as; booking venues, arranging catering for meetings, coordinating and/or arranging travel and accommodation (intrastate). The position also responsible for preparing responses to correspondence and general matters as required. The Administrative Assistant coordinates use of office equipment and maintaining stationery supplies, undertaking minor research and investigations as directed, and assisting in special projects as directed.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months from when the Director, Corporate Services endorses the recruitment decision. If the appointment pool is exhausted prior to the pool expiry date, The Authority reserves the right to supplement the pool through further advertising.

- Advanced word processing skills and proficiency with other components of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet planned outcomes in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to input and extract data in established database programs.
