MCB is recruiting for a pool of burial staff to fill vacancies as they become available for the next 12 months at our Fremantle, Karrakatta and Pinnaroo sites. Our Burials staffs play a key role in our core business areas, providing sensitive services to the WA Community.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. However, applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process could be offered a similar role as vacancies arise during the next 12 months.
ABOUT THE JOB
You will work as part of a team and use your knowledge of safe work practices in using mechanical tools and manual labour in the preparation of burial sites for the arrival of funeral directors and mourners.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR - WORK RELATED REQUIREMENTS
- Must be an Australian resident or hold a current working visa in Australia,
- Must hold a current C-Class Driver’s Licence (Manual),
- Have some knowledge of, and ability to, undertake safe work practices using correct manual handling techniques,
- Have the ability to undertake physical labour work,
- Have the ability to work effectively in a team and unsupervised,
- Have effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills to relate appropriately with people at all levels and from different cultural backgrounds,
- Have an understanding of machinery operations and maintenance.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Applicants will be required to disclose if they have been subject to disciplinary proceedings by their employer within the last two years. Suitable candidates must pass a pre-employment medical examination (which includes a standard Drug and Alcohol screening test), and consent to a 100 point identification check prior to recommendation for appointment.
