About the Role
The Customer Services Officer plays an important role in contributing to customer service focused initiatives and programs in the Goldfields-Esperance Region. You will be the regions first point of contact for customer enquiries, the dissemination of travel information, customer concerns and feedback. When required you will attend customer and stakeholder forums and represent Main Roads. You will not only strive to help resolve issues but also provide a positive customer experience.
You will engage and liaise with Main Roads’ Strategy and Communications Directorate, the local media and other stakeholders to maintain collaborative networks and contribute to the provision of timely, consistent and useful information for our customers.
You will maintain CONNECT (Main Roads customer communications system) and the stakeholder engagement database for reporting, the WEBEOC database for incident management and update road condition reporting to provide timely and accurate travel information to the public.
You will help develop the Region’s stakeholder engagement plan and will be responsible for coordinating the performance reporting requirements of the plan. You will also initiate and participate in customer surveys and other information gathering initiatives in order to inform decision-making and improve customer service programs and processes.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess;
- A proactive attitude and the capacity to build and enhance strong working relationships with stakeholders and customers
- Proven experience working within a customer service environment and a passion for service focused on the customer
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively prioritise and manage your time
- Research, analysis and problem solving skills
- A results driven attitude and ability to work under pressure in a collaborative team environment
- Experience liaising with media and public groups
