About the Role
We are looking for up to two (2) Road Designers to be part of the Road and Traffic Engineering Branch. The Branch is the centre of technical expertise in road design, traffic engineering and traffic management. Our team is involved in the development and maintenance of a wide range of standards and guidelines, as well as undertaking concept, preliminary and detail designs. We also provide advice on complex road engineering matters and undertake design reviews on most Main Roads projects.
This role will undertake geometric design for a broad range of road projects and contribute to the development of technical standards and guidelines in road design.
About You
The successful candidate(s) will be required to:
Develop drawings and designs to Main Roads standards;
Undertake the review or audit of road designs
Be proficient in MX or 12D and either AutoCAD or Microstation
Provide supervision, development and training of junior staff
Provide specialist technical support and advice
