The Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission (GEDC) is a Western Australian State Government Agency committed to encouraging and promoting economic and social activity in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. The GEDC is one of nine Regional Development Commissions established under the Regional Development Commissions Act (1993).
This GEDC is responsible to the Minister for Regional Development; Lands; Minister Assisting the Minister for State Development. A Board of Management comprising of Local Government, Community Representatives and Ministerial Appointments is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the GEDC.
Our vision is to create opportunities to build a vibrant sustainable future for the Goldfields-Esperance region. We do so by partnering with communities, government, business and industry to identify and support projects and programs that benefit the region.
Position Description
We currently have one (1) temporary full-time appointment available for six (6) months with a possibility of an extension up to six (6) months. Suitable applicants may be considered for appointment to the same or similar vacancies.
The Senior Project Officer position is responsible for planning, developing and implementing key projects and programs identified by the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission.
This role involves extensive liaison with regional stakeholders including government, business, industry and community organisations to deliver both economic and social benefits for the region.
