About the Role
The Strategy and Communications Directorate at Main Roads is focussed on creating a consistent, valuable and centralised approach to communication across the organisation. Our role is integral in engaging stakeholders, communicating Main Road’s projects to the community and informing and educating the community about new transport initiatives for the state.
To ensure we deliver the outcomes our customers expect, we need a suitably experienced Ministerial and Government Business Manager to join our team.
This role is critical in providing effective and timely responses to ministerial correspondence, requests for reports, briefing notes and parliamentary business enquiries. Of utmost importance is building relationships with stakeholders and peers across our Transport Portfolio, with our Minister and Minister’s Office and wider government. You will lead our ministerial business function supporting our Corporate Executive and providing tactical guidance in addressing matters of sensitivity and discretion.
You will lead and mentor an enthusiastic team, acting as the functional expert with regards to ministerial and government business protocols, processes and procedures. Upon commencing in this role you will be tasked with driving the Quality Assurance process within our Executive and Corporate Communications Branch to ensure information disseminated via the branch upholds required standards and timeframes.
