Traffic Signal Timing Review Officer (2 positions)
In response to the growing concern around congestion, Main Roads Western Australia has created a new Network Operations Directorate. This new Directorate is focussed on becoming a world class road network operator through developing improved capabilities in order to manage the exciting new challenges presented.
About the Role
The Traffic Signal Timing Review Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of the traffic signal optimisation program for the Perth Metropolitan Region; in accordance with the Network Operations review process for the Metropolitan road network.
Within this role you will use leading software packages to assist in providing traffic signal related performance advice and improvements to our signalised intersections.
Your work will involve working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the required outcomes. You will also be responsible for compiling background data from a variety of sources such as SCATS, Video Surveys, land use and journey time to assist in traffic signal optimisation.
About You
You are a competent professional with considerable skill, knowledge and experience in traffic engineering, traffic analysis and traffic signal operation. You are an exceptional communicator with strong data analysis skills being able to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
You enjoy working with people and sharing your knowledge and expertise in order to deliver excellent outcomes for the business.
Knowledge of the Sydney Co-ordinated Adaptive Traffic System (SCATS) and optimising intersection performance using LINSIG software, would be highly desirable.
