About the Role
Main Roads are seeking an experienced Asset Management Officer to join their Pilbara team. The successful incumbent will be based at South Hedland but will be required to travel to areas within the Network as needed. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and high performing asset management team within a leading infrastructure and network management organisation.
The Asset Management Officer will be part of an integrated team in the Network Management area but may be required to assist other operational areas within the region. This role will contribute to the development and management of the road planning process and identify solutions and priorities to optimise the performance of the regional road network.
The role will see you liaise and engage with external stakeholders and customers including the resources industry, local governments and other agencies to ensure works comply with standards and are completed within desired timeframes. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate strong experience in liaising with relevant stakeholders and the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
About you
To be considered for the role you will possess the following skills and experience;
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of road asset management strategies and practices
• Considerable experience in road data analysis and traffic management/analysis
• Solid experience in project management including project initiating and scoping
• Well-developed research, analysis and problem solving skills
• You will possess strong business relationship management skills including the ability to develop collaborative relationships with customers and stakeholders
