The Policy Coordination Group develops strategic policy that is aligned with the State Government's objectives and priorities. The group's values emphasise accountability, responsiveness and persistence in achieving objectives in a dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will contribute to strategic agency outcomes and manage staff; anticipate and consider the implications of emerging risks and issues; gather information from a variety of sources and work collaboratively across the department and with relevant stakeholders to undertake analysis and develop evidence-based policy.
Core Responsibilities
At an advanced level and with general experience, accountable for leading:

The research, development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of environmental policy.

The provision of advice to the Minister and the Department in relation to policy coordination.

The provision of advice to support the development and evaluation of programs.

The management of staff and developing, maintaining and sharing expertise to improve knowledge and build capability throughout the Department.
- The contribution to strategic agency outcomes as a member of the Operational Executive.

Other duties as required.
