12 month Casual Recruitment Pool
North Regional TAFE is the largest provider of training and vocational services in the north of Western Australia, servicing industries and communities across a region exceeding one million square kilometres. North Regional TAFE has twelve campuses – from Karratha in the south to Kununurra in the north – with the College’s three largest delivery centres at Broome, South Hedland and Karratha. The College delivers over 200 nationally recognised and industry endorsed qualifications each year to over 8,000 students. Training is also offered in non-accredited programs, short courses, work-readiness programs, literacy and numeracy, and skill sets.
The College is a major contributor to social capital in the region with an annual budget of nearly $68 million and approximately 300 staff.
We are seeking to create a pool of suitable applicants for the position of Casual Lecturer Music.
Applications are encouraged from people interested in casual hours. Suitable applicants will be placed in the Appointment Pool from which opportunities may be offered as vacancies arise up to June 2017.
Applicants are requested to consider their skills, experience and abilities in the context of the role description and the selection criteria. To be eligible for employment you need to hold a Certificate IV in Music or Diploma in Music.
If the Appointment Pool is exhausted prior to the pool expiry date, we reserve the right to supplement the pool through further advertising.
About the role
The responsibility of this position is to provide quality training delivery and assessment in the Music delivery area. Delivery areas encompass varying streams from Certificate IV Music level through to Diploma level. To be successful in this role you will need to have a Certificate IV in Music or Diploma in Music, previous experience in working with Aboriginal people and/or Torres Strait Islanders in a learning, business, social or community context, experience in developing community relationships and implementing new programs
Possession of current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) 40110 (or higher recognised teaching qualification) or working towards this qualification would be an advantage.
