The Role
As a key member of the School Leadership Team, the successful applicant will play an integral role in driving the implementation of the school’s Business Plan through collaborative decision-making, while promoting the school’s vision and strategic direction. They will provide proactive, inspiring, and supportive leadership, modelling high expectations for both staff and students. The ideal applicant will demonstrate the ability to lead change and foster innovation, ideally using evidence-based data to inform decision-making. They will lead the Technologies learning area, with responsibility for analysing performance data and developing, implementing, and reviewing both strategic and operational improvement plans. Through strong curriculum leadership and collaboration, they will support and develop their team to deliver high-quality teaching that meets the diverse needs of all students, empowering every learner to reach their full potential.
The ideal applicant will be a passionate educator with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, ideally bringing leadership experience within a Technologies department. They will possess a deep understanding of the Technologies curriculum (Food Specialisations, Design TecFhnologies & Digital Technologies), including the K–10 Western Australian Curriculum and senior school General & ATAR courses and Certificate courses along with a proven ability to design and deliver inclusive, challenging, and engaging learning programs for a diverse student cohort. In this role, the successful applicant will lead the planning, assessment, and reporting of student progress in alignment with the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA). A key responsibility will be guiding staff in the delivery of high-quality, rigorous programs that reflect the school’s pedagogical priorities and Teaching and Learning Framework. Additionally, the role includes managing the Technologies Learning Area’s operational plan, budget, and resources.
