The Role

Position Available: Home Economics Teacher

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion and Professionalism: Ideally, a highly professional and passionate educator eager to make a difference.
  • Innovative Teaching: Should have the ability to analyse learning areas and individual student data in Technology and Enterprise to enhance student achievement and deepen subject knowledge.
  • Experience and Skills: Ideally, have familiarity with Whole School Instructional Models, Explicit Instruction methods, and a strong understanding of whole-school Literacy and Numeracy. Skills in supporting Students at Educational Risk (SAER) and extension classes are highly valued.
  • Team Player: Should have a willingness to contribute to the growth and development of each Learning Area.
  • Certificate IV: Applicants with either a Certificate IV in Training and Assessing, or a Certificate II in Hospitality will be considered highly advantageous.

  • High-Quality Teaching: Ideally deliver engaging and effective teaching and learning programs tailored to our students’ needs.
  • Build Relationships: Should establish and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Promote School Values: Ideally use strong communication and interpersonal skills to promote the school’s values, ethos, and priorities across the community.
  • Positive Impact: Should build positive relationships with students and be passionate about creating bright futures for them while collaborating with a close-knit team of dedicated teachers.
