The Role
The Deputy Principal is a key member of the school leadership team, committed to driving positive progress and improved outcomes for every student.
The successful applicant will ideally have the capacity to develop and empower others, working collaboratively to implement and sustain whole-school procedures that support high-quality teaching and learning. Experience in coaching and mentoring staff to strengthen instructional practices will be highly regarded.
The Deputy Principal promotes shared ownership of the school’s vision and goals, actively engaging staff and the wider school community in achieving a unified direction. This collaborative approach extends to change management, where the Deputy Principal leads strategic initiatives, facilitates the acceptance of change, and identifies opportunities for enhanced service delivery.
In overseeing the daily operations of the school, the Deputy Principal plays a critical role in the implementation of the School Plan through effective decision-making, policy development, and the establishment of systems aligned with school priorities. The role also involves providing strategic guidance to staff and fostering a culture of continuous professional growth and improvement.
Additionally, the Deputy Principal is instrumental in supporting the day-to-day management of staff and student wellbeing, contributing to a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment.
Overall, the Deputy Principal provides strong educational leadership and operational oversight, playing an essential role in shaping the school’s direction and success.
