The Role

The successful applicant should possess the professional knowledge, understandings, and experience to deliver the Visual Arts curriculum across a broad spectrum of contexts including Visual Art, Design and Media. Experience in delivering upper-school courses and outstanding visual art skills in a range of 2D, 3D or time-based media will be highly regarded.

Applecross SHS Arts teachers support and extend Gifted & Talented students. They engage curiosity with learners of different contexts & backgrounds. They are committed to supporting wellbeing, excellence, play, risk, and creativity in developing transferable life skills such as empathy, and critical thinking, collaboration and the ability to communicate, all important attributes for any future pathway. Experience teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) would be highly regarded but is not essential to the role.
