This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing January 2025  with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency

The Goldfields Education Region supports the Department’s priorities in Western Australia and commits to delivering, through schools and services, a full and engaging standard of public education supportive of students, teachers and parents.

The Goldfields Education Region comprises of 38 schools across a significant geographical area from Kalgoorlie/Boulder, north to Wiluna, east to Ngaanyatjarra Lands and south to Lake King including Esperance.

The Role

This dynamic position involves providing high-level administrative support to the Regional Executive Director, including coordinating correspondence, travel arrangements, and appointment schedules. You’ll be a trusted point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling confidential enquiries with professionalism and ensuring timely responses. Your strong organisational skills will be essential in managing office systems, maintaining efficient workflows, and administering staffing systems to provide accurate and timely reporting.

In this role, you’ll conduct research and investigations on diverse issues, keeping the Regional Office informed on key matters of interest. You’ll also provide editorial support aligned with departmental standards and offer financial administrative assistance, including managing accounts and monitoring expenditures. With your ability to assess priorities and liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, you’ll contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the Regional Office, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
