Aveley Secondary College (SC) opened in 2018 and is a large secondary school catering for Year 7-12 in Perth’s Swan Valley. The College is recognised as a school of choice with high expectations and standards, a progressive approach and a commitment to excellence.

The Role
We are seeking a Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) teacher to join our team. This position is suited for someone with capacity to deliver Business Management and Enterprise (BME) Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).
Suitable applicants would be qualified or experienced to take BME senior school courses and they will ideally have the following attributes:
- Interpersonal skills and capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Capacity to build good relationships with all students
- Knowledge of the HASS and BME curriculum
- Strong teaching and classroom management skills and relevant OHS protocols to provide a safe learning environment
- Willingness to engage in our Explicit Direct Instruction model
- Engage in reflective practice, informed by classroom observations, student feedback surveys and close examination of student performance data
